About Rife Systems

The family restart.

Rife Systems is the family work — properly engineered, documented, and rebuilt for today.

Why now

For most of the past century, Royal Raymond Rife's name has been a battleground. On one side: a real scientist, peer-reviewed in Science, recognized in the 1944 Smithsonian Annual Report, collaborating with department heads at Northwestern and the Mayo Clinic. On the other: a chaotic post-1971 industry of devices marketed under his name, built to no documented specification, run by people with no connection to him, his family, or his research.

The result: a real engineering record buried under decades of noise. Most of what people "know" about Rife is wrong, and most of what's right has been forgotten.

Rife Systems exists to fix that. Not by arguing with the noise — by quietly rebuilding the record, the engineering, and the instruments themselves, from the documents the family inherited.

The lineage

I'm Matthew Rife, great-nephew of Royal Raymond Rife. The family has held materials from his life and work for generations — journals, technical drawings, period correspondence, photographs, and engineering notes. I previously operated Rife Technology, a hardware manufacturing business focused on instrument production, then took a hard pause through a difficult personal period that included losing our family homes in Virginia.

I've reorganized the family work as Rife Systems in Philadelphia. The mission is narrower and the discipline is tighter than it was at Rife Technology: documented engineering, no medical claims, hand-built instruments, an open archive of the real research record, and an AI assistant grounded in primary sources so anyone curious can investigate without wading through the noise.

"The historical record was always there. The engineering specifications were always there. What's been missing for fifty years is someone willing to do the work without the noise."

The standards we hold

Three rules govern everything Rife Systems publishes or sells:

No medical claims. Our instruments are educational research instruments. They are not FDA-cleared medical devices. They do not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. We will not pretend otherwise to make a sale.

No invented specifications. The frequencies, waveforms, and engineering decisions are derived from documented primary sources or honestly labeled as our own engineering. We do not invent specifications and attribute them to Royal Rife to sell hardware.

No endorsement of the noise. Rife Systems does not endorse any third-party "Rife machine" product, does not recommend frequencies for conditions, and does not validate post-1971 industry claims that have no documentary basis.

What's next

We're shipping the 2026 instrument production run, expanding the curated archive, and building out the founder list. If you're a long-time follower of the documented history, an academic researcher in bioelectromagnetics, a journalist investigating the field, or someone considering a serious instrument purchase, we'd like to hear from you.
